Before You Lodge a Complaint
- Confirm that the person you are complaining about is registered with the Council.
- The Council cannot assist with recovery of money or act as an alternative to debt collection.
- The Council does not resolve valuation disputes relating to the value of a property (quantum).
How to Lodge a Complaint
Download the official Complaint Form below.
Complete all required personal details and describe the conduct.
Attach all supporting evidence (copies only, not originals).
Sign the form before a Commissioner of Oaths (e.g. attorney, police officer, bank manager).
Submit the original signed form to the Council.
What to Include in Your Complaint
- Your full name, residential/business address, postal address and email.
- A clear, factual description of the alleged improper conduct.
- All supporting documentation (as copies).
- Details of any witnesses.
Important Notes
- Complaints must be in writing and signed before a Commissioner of Oaths.
- Keep your complaint factual and objective; defamatory or unsupported statements may have legal consequences.
- Investigations take time to be conducted thoroughly.
- If you intend to take legal action, consider whether to wait for that outcome before lodging with the Council.
