The South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP) wishes all candidates well for the Board Examination scheduled on 25 March 2026.
This announcement provides the official examination venues per region, as well as important instructions applicable to all candidates.
EXAMINATION DETAILS: - Format: In-person (physical pen and paper) - Type: Closed book examination - Duration: 3 hours - Time: 10:00 – 13:00 - Arrival: Candidates must be seated by 09:45
IMPORTANT RULES: - No entry after 11:00 - No leaving before 11:00 (unless approved by invigilator) - Bring valid ID or driver's licence - Only allowed items: pen, ruler, calculator
Laptop Users: - Complete Sections A & B first - Submit hard copy before opening spreadsheet - No returning to earlier sections after opening laptop
Failure to comply with rules may result in disciplinary action.

THE MARCH 2026 PRE-EXAM WORKSHOP AND THE MARCH 2026 BOARD EXAMINATION
1. Pre-Exam Workshop The initial dates for the above was 5th and 6th March 2026. We regret to inform that the revised dates are now 12th and 13th March 2026.
The Pre-Exam Workshop is hosted in Pretoria. It will be a contact session. The Venue will be confirmed in due course.
2. The Board Examination The initial date for the above was 19th March 2026. We regret to inform that the revised date is now 25th March 2026.
The Board Examinations are hosted in different centres throughout South Africa bi-annually. The Venues will be confirmed in due course.

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF TEMPORARY DELAY IN RESPONSE TIME
Dear Registered Persons The South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP) hereby advises that recent internal staff changes have resulted in temporary delays in the execution of certain administrative functions.
The Council appreciates the Registered persons and Stakeholder’s patience and understanding during this period and apologises for any inconvenience that may have been caused. The Council confirms that normal operations will be fully restored shortly.
Outstanding matters and backlogs are currently being addressed as a matter of urgency.

The SACPVP is accepting Board exam applications for 19 March 2026. Submit by courier or hand delivery to Mr. Ntsweng; email submissions are NOT accepted. Closing date: 05 December 2025.
Who can apply: - Registered Candidate Valuers (≥2 years) with accredited Real Estate qualification - Registered Professional Associated Valuers - Pr AVals may apply for Pr Val admission exam if they meet degree and tenure requirements
Application pack includes: - Completed application (incl. Experience Matrix + supporting docs) - Certified qualifications + transcripts (≤3 months old) - Certified ID/passport + valid work permit (if applicable) - Detailed CV - Supervisor/mentor letter (with SACPVP reg no. + postal address) - Practical Workschool certificate (compulsory)
Notes: - Prior unsuccessful candidates and previously approved but unable-to-write candidates should NOT submit new applications—email confirmation before the closing date suffices. - Exam will be held in a physical/contact session.
Fees (VAT incl.; 50% refundable until 14 days before Exam): - Pr AVal exam: R3,700.00 - Pr AVal writing Pr Val exam: R4,000.00 (Payment requested once application is approved.)

Following the resignation of two members from the 6th Council of the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP), the Honourable Minister Mr. D Macpherson has appointed two new Council members.
These appointments are effective immediately and will remain in place until September 2026.

The announcement also includes the appointment of new administrative staff to strengthen Council operations.

The South African Institute of Valuers is pleased to announce the examination schedule for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Examination Details: - Registration opens: January 15, 2025 - Registration closes: March 31, 2025 - Examination dates: June 2025 and November 2025 - Results release: Within 8 weeks of examination
Candidates are advised to review the examination guidelines and ensure all prerequisites are met before registration. Study materials and preparation courses will be available through our approved education providers.
