New Council Members
On 12 October 2009 the Minister of Public Works, Mr Geoff Doidge, announced new Council Members. The are: Mr Molefi Kubuzie (President), Ms Zodwa Mavhungu (VP),Messrs Gilbert Adams, Chris Gavor, Jerry Margolius, Dumisani Nkomo, Hendrick Ndlovu, Werner Sarvari, Mesdames Marijke Serfontein and Portia Tau- Sekati. Their term of office is 01 September 2009 till 31 August 2013. They have hit the ground running!

REGISTRATION CARD AND CERTIFICATE
Members of the public are encouraged to look on the Home Page under Downloadable Documents to see a sample of a Registration Card and a Certificate isued to all duly registered persons before engaging them to perform property valuation. The public should ask for this card and certificate before engaging any valuer.

Admission Examinations
The average pass rate for the March 2010 admission examination was 86%. Well done to those that passed.

The next admission examination for persons who wish to become professionals is 15 September 2010. A refresher session for mainly Time Value of Money and the LG: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 as well as the Expropriation Act, 1975 will be held in Pretoria end August/ beginning September. Closing dates for ALL applications is 31 July, including for those who will be attending the workschool end July. No late applications will be entertained.
